Scheme for Assistance to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME): Financial Support to MSMEs in ZED Certification

DETAILS The scheme "Scheme for Assistance to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME)" is an umbrella scheme launched by the Industries and Mines Department, Gujarat. It aims to empower the state's dynamic MSME sector, which significantly contributes to employment, GDP, and exports. Effective from August 7th, 2020 to August 6th, 2025, this initiative supports entrepreneurs and strengthens MSMEs, making them globally competitive. The component "Financial Support to MSMEs in ZED Certification" scheme promotes Zero Defect and Zero Effect (ZED) manufacturing among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). It aims to enhance product quality, improve energy efficiency, and minimize environmental impact. BENEFITS Financial Assistance: MSMEs receive a subsidy of 50% of certification charges, up to a maximum of ₹50,000/-. Quality Enhancement: Encourages MSMEs to improve product quality and adopt advanced manufacturing techniques. Energy Efficiency: Promotes the use of energy-efficient manufacturing processes. ELIGIBILITY The firm must be a Micro/Small/Medium enterprise. The enterprise must be in the manufacturing sector. The MSME should apply for ZED certification under the scheme. The MSME must comply with government environmental and quality regulations.
