Credit-linked Capital Investment Subsidy (CIS) scheme of the Ministry of Textiles to promote induction of benchmarked (new) plant and machinery across the textile value chain, boosting productivity, employment, investment, exports and import substitution ('Make in India', 'Zero Defect Zero Effect'). Garmenting and technical textiles receive a 15% capital subsidy on eligible machinery, subject to a ceiling of ₹30 crore per entity; all other eligible segments (weaving/preparatory, processing, jute, silk, handloom, etc.) receive a 10% capital subsidy, subject to a ceiling of ₹20 crore. Subsidy is available only on new benchmarked machinery (indigenous or imported); second-hand machinery is not eligible. It is a one-time reimbursement claimed after installation and joint inspection, applied for online on the iTUFS portal with a Unique Identification Number (UID) generated per case.
