Andhra Pradesh Department of Sericulture provides assistance to farmers/reelers for mulberry plantation and its maintenance up to 3 years (unit cost ₹1.54 lakh, implemented from 2014-15) and for construction of rearing sheds (from 2016-17). Under the Central Silk Board Catalytic Development Programme (CDP), being a Special Status State, the cost-sharing for components such as disinfection, rearing houses and Chawki Rearing Centres is 80:10:10 (CSB : State : Beneficiary). The department also supplies neem cake and Poshan under RKVY at 50% subsidy to improve mulberry leaf quality.
